As American as Public School
Diana Rivera February 25, 2021 Assignment Part 3 Reading this part of the book has opened my eyes about how important school was going to stand for. Now a days we have many students who do not want to get up and go to school but little do they really know how the struggle was to keep public schools open and have the education pass down for years to come. For many who were coming to states the old immigrants and the new ones did not see much eye to eye but when it came to the education part for those who did not have much as others, they wanted the same equal chance for their children and grandchildren to come. They wanted this opportunity and turn it into something great for the kids to either become a doctor, lawyer, or anything that was a good field. As many who came here, they wanted to reach new empowerments and many new social reforms to work in public schools, living conditions and those who have jobs.
